Alicia with mural, Moon Prism Heart, a part of the All Hallow E’en Art Path (Curated by Albany Center Gallery)
Alicia Barton is a multi-disciplinary visual artist from Albany, NY. Her amorphous sculptures contrast the alluring and attractive with the repulsive and grotesque referencing her identity.
Alicia completed her B.F.A. in Studio Art with dual concentrations in Sculpture and Painting & Drawing from The College of Saint Rose in 2020, which she began at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She went on to pursue her M.F.A. in Sculpture from the University at Albany, which she completed in 2022. Following graduation, Alicia co-founded The Box Party artist collective with 5 of her peers, focused on bringing accessible and relevant art to the community.
In 2023, Alicia completed her tattoo apprenticeship. Since then, she went on to open her private tattoo studio, Goodnight Tattoo, with her mentor, Aurora Crawford, as co-owners.
